My MidLife Mission – Driven by my Saviour Jesus Christ
After years in the wilderness, Jesus Christ came into my life on a cold, dark winter evening in 2016.
He took me by the hand – washed away my sins – took away my sickness and disease – and brought about so many changes in my character that my beautiful wife thought she had been given a new husband… after twenty years of marriage.
In truth, she had; The one she always wanted.
Within days of being saved by Jesus, I was filled with The Holy Spirit after calling on Him to come into my spirit and began to pray (almost hourly) in a language I did not understand. Prayer was like a drug I could not get enough of. I craved it… finding quiet spaces wherever I could to talk with God.
When not in prayer, I was either energized like a man on a mission or exhausted and soon sleeping like a new-born baby. There was NO in-between.
- Energized by the power of The Holy Spirit at work within me – driving me to clean and repair our home – read The Bible – talk about The Lord and what He was doing in me – and find ways to work off the power which was running through my body like living water. It was exhilarating!
- Exhausted by the power of The Holy Spirit at work within me – cleansing and rejuvenating my body from the inside out – restoring my joints, bones, organs – and leaving me to rest between “treatments” like a cancer patient.
But these were NOT “treatments” I was receiving. I had no sickness. I had no sin. Jesus had taken ALL that away from me when He gave His life for me on the cross at Calvary. ALLELUIA!
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
I was being cleansed under the blood of Jesus Christ.
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin (Psalm 51:2 KJV).
I was Re-Born and ALL that God had promised me was put upon me.
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them (Ezekiel 36: 26-27 KJV).
The Holy Spirit was preparing me for battle – spiritual warfare – evangelism – teaching – healing – and whatever else The Lord has planned for me (He always has a plan for each and every one of us… including You.
He was building me both in body and spirit – and I grew rapidly in belief and in faith – with The Word of God (The Holy Bible KJV) and by The Holy Spirit. He was making me who He needed me to be to serve Him in Jesus’ name.
Wow! He needed me
But I needed Him more.
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5:18-20 KJV).
He filled me with The Holy Spirit so that I might be more like Him; forgiving – not condemning, healing – not harming, loving – not hating. God The Father wants ALL to come to Him through Jesus and seek salvation.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6 KJV).
He wants You
He does. He wants to save you. Turn to Him. Repent. Call His name. Ask Him to come into your life and save you. He will.
My Hope for Tomorrow
Today, as I continue to grow in Christ and give my life to Him, I seek His guidance to help me share the truth.
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32 KJV).
Tomorrow, I ask The Lord to give me a new day to do the same as I do today. To share The Gospel. To share Jesus. To share my testimony and tell others what He has done for me. He has made me a better son, a better husband, a better father, a better brother, a better friend and a better man.
He can do the same for you if you will let Him. Will you?
If you’re not saved (Born-Again) you need Him. There is no other way to God. Without salvation, there is only judgement and condemnation (eternity in Hell).
Will you let Jesus into your life?
Will you turn away from your sins?
Will you accept you have been separated from God because of your sins and call on Him to save you?
If you answered Yes, get right with God today. Now. Don’t leave salvation until tomorrow. You can be saved today.
My Mission and Purpose
The midlife mission is simple: to share the Word of God (The Holy Bible KJV) and to follow the Word of God.
- To live in Christ
- To help others to come to Jesus
- To love those others as He loves me
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another (John 13:34 KJV).
He asks all believers to bring sinners into the light – to heal the sick in the name of Jesus Christ – to cast out demons and raise the dead in His name.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give (Matthew 10:8 KJV).
And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick (Luke 9:2 KJV).
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him (James 5:15 KJV).
Father has called me to share my experiences, write about His plan for me, and share His love with those who are in need.
He gave His life for me.
I give my life to Him.
